PACKAGING GUIDE

What to include in packaging artwork handoff

Packaging artwork needs to work with the physical structure. A careful handoff helps the customer and supplier identify questions before production.

Confirm the structure first

Request the relevant dieline or artwork layout for the chosen format. Confirm dimensions and panels before positioning graphics. Keep a dated version of the agreed layout.

Identify print and finish requirements

Include brand color references, linked images and fonts or outlined text as requested by the printer. Identify areas for finishes separately. File format, resolution, bleed and color setup should be confirmed with the supplier for the printing process.

Review the information

Check product names, spelling, barcodes and mandatory information with the responsible team. Artwork approval and product compliance review are separate steps. Confirm both before authorizing production.
